Prof. Yahya Almarhabi, MD, FRCSC, MPH is a distinguished Professor of Surgery and ICU at King Abdulaziz University, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, with over 15 years of experience in clinical leadership, academic medicine, and healthcare administration. He currently serves as Chief Medical Officer and CEO Consultant, where he has led major institutional transformations, established advanced clinical services, and successfully secured national and international accreditations including CBAHI and JCI.

 

Prof. Almarhabi has played a pivotal role in developing emergency, trauma, ICU, oncology, and palliative care services, and demonstrated exceptional leadership during the COVID-19 pandemic through crisis management and system-level innovation. His expertise spans regulatory compliance, quality improvement, multidisciplinary team building, and strategic healthcare planning.

 

An internationally trained surgeon and intensivist, Prof. Almarhabi completed advanced training in Canada and holds fellowship with the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada. He is an active researcher with more than 20 peer-reviewed publications focusing on trauma care, surgical outcomes, antibiotic stewardship, and public health.
