Article Processing Charges (APC)
At the Journal of Pioneering Medical Sciences (JPMS), we are committed to advancing scientific knowledge by ensuring that high-quality research is freely accessible to the global academic community. In keeping with our values, we maintain a no-fee policy for submissions, processing, and standard publication through 2024. There are no submission fees, publication fees, or page charges, and authors are not required to pay any article processing charges (APCs) for Accepting in JPMS until December Issue.
However, starting from January 1, 2025, in order to maintain our commitment to ethical standards, high-quality peer-review processes, and timely publication, we will implement an APC system for regular and fast-track publications.
APC Structure (Effective January 1, 2025):
1. Normal Publication (Standard Process) – USD 500
•Articles submitted under the normal publication process will undergo rigorous peer review, copy-editing, and publication within the standard timeline.
•Authors will be charged an APC of 500 USD upon acceptance of the article.
2. Fast Track Publication – USD 900
•For authors who require a faster review and publication process, JPMS offers a fast-track option.
•Articles under fast-track will be prioritized, with an expedited peer review and publication timeline.
•The APC for fast-track publication is 900 USD.
Why an APC?
The introduction of APCs helps us ensure that the journal can continue to provide high-quality services while upholding ethical publishing standards. These charges cover the cost of:
•Editorial review and management
•Expert peer-review processes
•Professional copyediting and formatting
•Technical infrastructure and website maintenance
•Archiving and open-access availability
Waivers and Discounts
At JPMS, we believe that financial barriers should not prevent the dissemination of valuable scientific knowledge. We are pleased to offer APC waivers or discounts to authors from low-income countries or for those who demonstrate a clear need. Waivers are considered on a case-by-case basis and must be applied for during the submission process.
